I wish more people moving to Lakewood Ranch, Florida knew that your kids can still play hockey
Moving to Florida from a hockey town and dreading the talk with your kids? Don't. π
When families move down to Lakewood Ranch from up north, hockey is the thing they assume they're leaving behind. I get it. You don't picture ice rinks in Florida. But it's all here, under one roof at Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex, about 20 minutes away. Two NHL rinks, open year-round. And it's a full ladder, from never-skated to travel: - Learn to Skate for the littlest ones (starts around age 3) - The Tampa Bay Lightning's Learn to Play, full gear included - Hockey Academy to bridge skating into the game - Rec house leagues (U12 and U15) for games without the travel - Gulf Coast Flames travel teams, U8 all the way to U18 - High school hockey, the Manatee Admirals play right out of Ellenton - Plus figure skating and adult clinics So if you're relocating from a hockey state and thought that chapter was closing, it's not. I keep every program link on my site so it's a one-stop shop (tap the link in my bio). Moving to the area and wondering what your kids can keep doing? That's my favorite part of the job. Send me a message. π
